Leek in Staffordshire came out on top for first-time buyer affordability, according to Lloyds.
It was named as the most affordable market town for first-time buyers across the UK. The average property price in Leek costing, £191,359.
Leek has been given the title of being the The ‘Queen of the Staffordshire Moorlands’, it is a historic textile town with an intriguing past. According to Leek Town Council, there are roughly 21,000 people living in the market town. The town, which is near the Peak District, is roughly 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Stoke-on-Trent.
